Overview
Studying the farm shows students that all animals have mothers.

Preparation
1. Gather a collection of CD’s, books or other information sources on Farms.
2. Start a new Kidspiration project. Create a diagram like the one below using the pictures and symbols found in the program library.
Enable the teacher menu and save the project as activity titled On the Farm.
Lesson
1. Gather the students around the computer and tell them they will be thinking about a farm and if they have ever visited a farm. As they are thinking open
the On the Farm activity you created earlier.
2. Discuss the pictures of the animals on the farm and the pictures of the baby animals. Have the children help decided which animal goes with which.
3. Explain how to use the mouse and drag the baby to its mother.
4. After you have modeled this lesson for your students, use it as an independent
activity. Children can work together to complete this activity.

In writing view, have students write something they know about the farm
animal and its baby
