6th Grade Trip To Cedar Beach

Overview

To culminate a field trip on marine education, students will use Kidspiration to plan, organize, express, and share their thoughts, by using their five senses to complete a visual diagram.

2.   Class notes

 Preparation

1.      Have students take pictures of each learning center with a digital camera.

2.      Use pictures for graphic organizer (picture view makes it easier for students to see their ideas and information).

3.      Have students take notes during the field trip.

4.      Provide students with instruction on using Kidspiration.

 On the computer

1.      Before beginning, brainstorm what the students learned from the field trip. 

2.      Using their notes taken the previous day, have students fill out the diagrams.

3.      Circulate to answer questions.

 

Follow-up activities

1.  Students share their diagram with the class or throughout the school.

2.      Have students compare their diagrams with other students.
