Comsewogue High School

Girls & Boys Winter Track, Girls & Boys Bowling and Individual Swimming will begin on Monday, January 4th.  All students need to be registered on FinalForms and choose one of the sports they are interested in. It is also required that the student health history be updated (on FinalForms) no earlier than 30 days prior to the start of tryouts.

Tryouts will last approximately 3 days.  We will have a bowling bus that will take students to and from the high school to the bowling alley and leave the high school at approximately 1:40pm.  That same bus will be the late bus for students that need a ride home after practice and will leave at approximately 4:30pm.  Winter track athletes can wait (socially distanced) in the gym if practice ends earlier than 4:25pm.  All NYS return-to-play guidelines will be followed as we did during the open workouts.

At this time in Section XI, spectators will not be permitted to watch tryouts/practice and contests.  We will be looking to live-stream all of our home winter track meets and bowling matches (details to follow).

We understand how difficult this is for students that play a high impact sport and for parents.  It is highly encouraged for our students to join our spring open workouts that will start in the middle of January (details to follow).  Please stay safe and email Mr. DeVincenzo and/or call the Athletics office (631-474-8196) if you have any questions.

JFK Middle School

All of our winter sports that we offer for 7th/8th graders (Competitive Cheerleading, Boys & Girls basketball, Girls & Boys volleyball and Wrestling) are all deemed high impact sports by NYS. Because of that, all of our middle school sports at JFK are currently on a pause.

We will be offering virtual workouts for our late winter sports (Girls Basketball, Wrestling and Boys Volleyball) starting in the middle of January (more details to follow).  We understand how difficult this is for everyone and highly encourage our students to join our virtual workouts. Please stay safe and email Mr. DeVincenzo and/or call the Athletics office (631-474-8196) if you have any questions.
