SCIENCE FAIR WINNER-COMSEWOGUE STUDENT

The Comsewogue Union Free School District is proud to announce a first place winner in the National Science Fair of 2006.  A fifth grader in Mrs. Baxter's class at Clinton Ave. Elementary took first place and was awarded a banner for his school.  His project, "Whew I'm Winded, the Lung Capacity Test" involved the use of a sperometer on the fifth graders at recess to test their lung capacity.  He wanted to see if the wind brass instrument players had a larger lung capacity.  After completing the experiment, he found the wind bass players to have a larger vital lung capacity.  This project displayed originality and creativity.
