On December 14, Mrs. Cobb's second graders at Clinton Avenue Elementary School shared a holiday celebration at the Senior Citizen Center in Mt. Sinai, New York.  Read what some of her students had to say about their experience.

My Holiday Visit With the Seniors

Yesterday I went to see the seniors.  We got to meet the seniors.  I read a book to Joe who was my senior.  Later Santa Claus came.  We all saw Santa Claus.  We got to take a picture with him and told him what we want for Christmas.  Later we had lunch.  After we danced around the table.  We sang Jingle Bell Rock.  We did Penny's Pizza Place.  After that we went back to school.

My Holiday Visit With the Seniors

Yesterday we went to visit the seniors.  I read to my senior.  I read up to chapter 6.  Then a few minutes later Santa Claus came.  I told him what I wanted for Christmas.  After I told him he gave me a little stocking.  Then we sang our Santa song.  Before Santa left we did Penny's Pizza Place and the dreidel song.  Then we left.  I was so happy to see the seniors.

My Holiday Visit With the Seniors

Yesterday we went to a field trip to visit the seniors.  I played War with my Christmas cards.  I also read a couple of poems to my senior.  I played War with Angela and my senior.  It was so much fun.  Later Santa Claus came and we took a picture with him.  After we told him what we wanted for Christmas.  He gave us a big stocking full of candy.  When Santa left we danced to music.  Then we had lunch.  After that we did Penny's Pizza Place.  Then we left.  It was so much fun.

My Holiday Visit With the Seniors

My senior's name is Wanda.  We played Sorry.  When we were in the middle of the game Santa came in and we told him what we want for Christmas.  I told him I want a radio.  Then we ate lunch.  After that we did a skit called Penny's Pizza Place.  We went back to school.  I had a lot of fun.
