Comsewogue Inducts 5 New Members to Hall of Fame

On Saturday, October 23, 2021, Comsewogue inducted the five newest members into our Hall of Fame. This event was a combined induction ceremony for our 2020 and 2021 inductees. New members and their families and friends were invited to a special luncheon as part of our annual Homecoming events, and all inductees were recognized on the 50-yard line of our football field shortly before kickoff.

Christine Miskovsky Nemeth was a part of our Gymnastics team from 1984 - 1987. She was recognized 4X All-Conference, 4X All-County, 3X All-State and participated in numerous Empire State Games, earning both silver and gold medals.

Tommy Henriksen, a member of the Comsewogue High School class of 1982, is a musician, songwriter, producer, arranger and mixer of Hard Dock, Heavy Metal, Punk and Industrial Rock. Tommy has been a member of multiple bands, worked with artists and groups including Lady Gaga, Halestorm and Daughtry, and has released a number of albums, most recently in 2017.

Manny Tsantes was a part of the Varsity Football team in 1984 and 1985, earning all-league honors in the 1985 season. He was also a member of the Winter and Spring Track & Field teams, having participated from 1983-1986 and earning numerous All-League and All-County honors. Manny currently holds the school record for the 800 Meter Run with a time of 1:55.5.

Denis McDermott, a member of the Class of 1985, played both Varsity Football and Baseball in 1983 and 1984. Denis earned All-League and All-County honors for Football and All-League honors for Baseball. Denis would go on to St. John's University, where he would earn a number of Team MVP, ALl-Conference and All-American honors.

Wilson Acosta played on the Comsewogue High School football team from 1988-1992. He was a 3-time All-League and All-County recipient and was selected as a member of the Suffolk County All-Star team, in 1992. Wilson also played on our Basketball team, also earning himself All-League and All-County honors and being selected to 3 all-star teams.
