Comsewogue's Business Honor Society Leads by Example

On November 22nd, students from Comsewogue High School’s Business Honor Society participated in a book giveaway with Clinton and Norwood Elementary Schools. Earlier this year, the Comsewogue Business Honor Society partnered with the local Port Jefferson Station Chick-fil-A to participate in various leadership initiatives, including a “one million” book giveaway.

As part of this goal, students in the Business Honor Society worked together to package books and write inspirational messages to share with kindergarten students. The High School Juniors and Seniors, along with club advisors Mr. Ketterer, Mr. Rovello, and High School Principal Mosca, personally hand-delivered books to each kindergartener to encourage reading, community, and positivity.

The High School’s Business Honor Society students continue to learn about and realize firsthand the importance of being actively involved in the Comsewogue community and what it means to make a positive difference.

“We are very proud of our students. It is great to see them as role models and leaders,” said Mr. Ketterer. “It is also really important to promote reading and encourage our younger students to work hard, '' says Honor Society President Riley Hughes.

Positive social interactions between students is crucial to the development of all students and what we strive for at the Comsewogue School District. A special thanks to all those involved in making this a wonderful experience for our students. Go Warriors!
