As part of their science curriculum studies, 4th grade students use Virtual Reality and the Nearpod app to "visit" and learn about the inside of an erupting volcano. Ms. Taormina, Boyle's Library Media Specialist and Mr. Franzese, the district's Educational Technology Specialist teacher guided the students on a virtual field trip to learn more about volcanoes.
The students were able to travel virtually inside the volcano’s crater and follow the path of a lava flow. The students enjoyed using the VR technology and look forward to visiting more virtual destinations.
