Chromebook Agreement

For the 2024-2025 school year, the Chromebook Agreement for Grades K-5 will be completed on paper. A copy was sent home in the summer mailing and must be returned to your child's teacher on the first day of school. For grades 6-12, the Chromebook Agreement will be completed digitally in SchoolTool. You will be prompted to complete the agreement when you log into SchoolToool.

Chromebook Insurance

For the 2024-2025 school year, Comsewogue School District will be strongly encouraging all parents to purchase the Chromebook Insurance. Insurance is $30 per student device per year. Insurance is through Worth Ave. Group Insurance and must be purchased between July 1, 2024 and September 30, 2024 through digital payment on MySchoolBucks (Log in or create an account). Follow the instructions through checkout to complete your purchase for each student you are purchasing insurance for. Insurance covers: 

Accidental Coverage: $30.00 per device, per year, which covers unlimited incidents for:

• Accidental Damage (Drops/Spills)

• Cracked Screen

• Liquid Submersion

Coverage is from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025.

Note: Protection plan is void if damage is the result of misuse or abuse.

• The fee for a lost Chromebook is $450 (or a higher amount depending on cost of a replacement device at time of loss).

• The fee for a lost or damaged charger is $35 (or higher depending on the model).

If you DO NOT purchase insurance, the prices below are cost estimates for replacement parts as of July 2024 and are subject to change based on available pricing at the time of the repair. 

Full Device Replacement at any time is $450 (or current rate to replace the device). All rates are subject to change based on the current rate of replacement parts.

Troubleshooting / Assistance
