Terryville Road Elementary School is an intermediate school consisting of third through fifth grade. It is one of four elementary schools in the Comsewogue School District. Our student population is comprised of approximately 480 students, eager to learn and grow. We are dedicated to providing a safe and nurturing environment, while also developing innovative learning methods to engage all children in the curriculum.
Our goal is to foster student growth and achievement of the whole child: academic, social, and emotional. The faculty and staff are highly skilled professionals, dedicated to student success at Terryville. Our teachers work collaboratively to ensure the needs of every individual child are met throughout the course of the academic year. We work closely with parents and the community to truly create and maintain a Terryville Road family. The staff is a professional community that strives to continually modify instruction and develop methods to engage all children in the learning process, while also encouraging social growth.
Our school offers many opportunities for students to grow and achieve success. Along with academic opportunities, we offer extra curricular club activities, including Art Club, Science Research Club, Drama Club, Intramural Sports, and Student Council. We also have an amazing music program, consisting of band, orchestra, and chorus.
Terryville is extremely fortunate to have a PTA that supports our school and collaborates with teachers and families to provide wonderful activities for our children. The PTA hosts various events, such as assemblies, book fairs, family nights, and boutiques, just to name a few. We are delighted to recognize our PTA and the executive board who have helped to make Terryville an exciting place. All families are invited to participate and attend the PTA sponsored programs throughout the year.
I am honored to serve the students, families and teachers at Terryville Road Elementary School, and anticipate an exciting year. Thank you for visiting our website. We look forward to working with you throughout the school year.
Sincerely,
Annemarie V. Sciove, Principal
