
ASSET (The Association of School Supervisors of Educational Technology) held their annual Bright Lights Luncheon at The Heritage Club at Bethpage. In total 19, teachers from Suffolk and Nassau County received awards for their support of students and teachers with Educational Technology. Comsewogue's Frank Franzese was awarded a Bright Light award for his continued creative support and innovative ways to encourage teachers to implement instructional technology and support our students.
Frank was described by Dr. Don Heberer as follows: "Frank Franzese's approach to supporting K-12 educational technology in the classroom is one-of-a-kind. He is able to put even the most reluctant teacher at ease and is always willing to spark innovation. His rapport among the staff and students in our district is unmatched. His professional development workshops always have a new an exciting theme to engage the participants in a unique and exciting way."
Frank Franzese said about receiving the award, "I want to thank ASSET for nominating me and for awarding me the 2023 Bright Light award for Instructional Technology. It is a great honor and satisfaction to receive this recognition and to be in the company of so many talented educators and fellow nominees awarded the same recognition.".
