Throughout the first few months of the school year, students have been working on a wide range of project-based learning (PBL) initiatives in their classes at all grade levels.
PBL is a student-centered method in which students learn about a subject through the experience of solving an open-ended problem found within the curriculum. In addition to the core subject material, students gain insights into additional Instructional Strategies (Cornerstone Skills) and Life/Career Skills (21st Century Skills).
Some of the projects that our students worked on include learning how to successfully budget, learning how social media affects a digital footprint, learning about parade floats and how they are made, repetition reading, delivering effective elevator pitches and lots more!
