The Comsewogue High School Spanish Honor Society members recently gave back to their community by donating 105 Progresso Soup Toppers to Pax Christi Hospitality Center in Port Jefferson. The members, under the guidance of Advisor Patricia Trypaluk, have been collecting, bagging and transporting soup and crackers to the Pax Christi Hospitality Center for three years. Each year, they have exceeded their annual goal of collecting 100 soup toppers. Through their efforts, they have helped feed over 300 people. The Pax Christi Hospitality Center provides shelter, food, counseling, advocacy, and networking services to members of the community.

“Ms. Trypaluk and the Spanish Honor Society go above and beyond through their community service and, each year, fulfill their goal of helping serve people in need in our community,” said Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Quinn. “The Comsewogue School District is so proud of our Spanish Honor Society students and their generosity and commitment to community service.”
