For the second consecutive year, the Virtual Enterprise Business students of Comsewogue High School reached an outstanding achievement by advancing to Nationals in the prestigious Business Plan Competition, hosted by Virtual Enterprise. This remarkable feat showcases the exceptional talents, determination, and entrepreneurial spirit of our students, as they prepare to compete against some of the brightest aspiring entrepreneurs in the nation.
PickleTek, the innovative firm created and operated by Comsewogue students, has earned a spot in the national competition at the Javits Center, after an impressive performance in multiple rounds of business plan presentations. To reach this point, the students had to demonstrate not only their understanding of business principles, but also their ability to effectively present their vision, strategies, and growth plans to a panel of seasoned judges. This rigorous process tested their knowledge, creativity, and teamwork, all of which contributed to their success.
The students’ dedication to excellence and their hard work has earned them this coveted opportunity to showcase their business acumen on the national stage. As part of the Virtual Enterprise program, they have been preparing for months, refining their business plan, enhancing their presentation skills, and collaborating as a cohesive team. The competition will provide them with valuable experience, pushing them to apply real-world business concepts while learning from other high-performing student teams across the country.
"It’s an incredible achievement for our students to not only make it to Nationals, but to do so for the second year in a row," said VE teacher Mr. Ketterer. "This success reflects the dedication and passion of our students and is a testament to the high level of talent and hard work that our program consistently fosters. We are incredibly proud of our team and excited to see how they perform on the national stage.”
PickleTek’s team members are eager to face the challenges ahead, and they look forward to representing Comsewogue with pride.
