Our Winter 2023 PBL Showcase is here! Throughout the school year, students have been working on a wide range of project-based learning (PBL) initiatives in all grade levels and disciplines.
PBL is a student-centered method in which students learn about a subject through the experience of solving an open-ended problem found within the curriculum. In addition to the core subject material, students gain insights into additional Instructional Strategies (Cornerstone Skills) and Life/Career Skills (21st Century Skills).
In our winter showcase, some of the projects include learning about landforms, exploring the using of recycling and upcycling, presentations about dressing for success, learning about what drives authors to create stories, the chemistry of baking, and establishing the difference between needs, wants and values.
