Work Based Learning at Comsewogue High School
Life SKills class at Chick-Fil-A

Our very own Life Skills Class at Comsewogue High School was able to put their Work Based Learning to the test. This group of students were given the opportunity to work at Chick-Fil-A by putting together the salad kits, cleaning the tables and windows, and restocking the trays. The students were excited to implement the skills that they have learned in the classroom into the real world.

Chick-Fil-A did a phenomenal job accommodating to all of our students by making sure that everyone was able to participate in all of the activities. The owner Stan and Manager Ruth went above and beyond to make sure that this work based learning experience went smoothly.

It took a village to make this weekly event possible. The programs main goal this year was to get out into the community and put their skills to the test. Several companies within the Comsewogue community made generous donations to help with the cost of buses. The donations, support from administration, and the teachers and staff that work with these students helped to make this day possible.
