Students at JFK Middle School in the Comsewogue School District have their artwork on display this month at the One River School of Art and Design’s Winter Art Show. Students submitted artwork they created in their classes and on their own to be a part of the local art gallery’s exhibit, which began on December 4th and runs through December 15th. “It’s an honor to have our students represented in this professional space and to give them a platform for their incredible work. Our students work hard throughout the year to sharpen their skills and let their creativity take them to new heights. It’s rewarding for them to see their dedication pay off and have their work showcased for the community this way,” said JFK Middle School Principal Amanda Prinz. The Winter Art Show at the Port Jefferson One River School of Art and Design is one of the many ways in which the District partners with businesses in the community to give students opportunities to excel outside of the classroom. Students, teachers, administrators and Board of Education members gathered at the art gallery on December 5th for an opening reception. The Winter Art Show features the artwork of over 125 middle school artists in grades 6, 7 and 8.
