As the Plant Facilities Manager for the Comsewogue School District,
it is my responsibility to ensure that the District’s students, staff
and community have a safe and healthy environment in which to learn,
work and ultimately prosper. The Facilities Department encompasses the
District’s Maintenance, Grounds and Custodial Departments who work
throughout the District in various capacities. The Facilities Department
maintains the District’s 6 campuses, which consist of over 675,000
square feet of instructional floor space, and 144 acres to be properly
cleaned and maintained. In addition, the Facilities Department is
responsible for the field maintenance required by the District and
Community’s numerous athletic groups as well as the maintenance and
inspection of all District playgrounds and equipment. The Facilities
Department is also committed to ensuring that all staff members receive
annual safety training and are provided with applicable professional
development opportunities.
