Summer Fun and Enrichment

Registration

The ESBOCES Summer Fun and Enrichment Program is available to all students who will be entering Grades 1 through Grade 6 in September 2025. Parents may register their child to attend the Summer Fun and Enrichment program by choosing the week or weeks they will attend and will receive a reduced rate if they register for all 7 sessions and prepay for the entire summer.

Activities

  • STEAM Activities
    Hands-on STEAM Activities are designed to make ALL students get excited about the world around them. Sample programs included: Drones, Oceanic Exploration, Claymation, Makey Makey, Green Screen, Genetics, Famous Architecture Around the World, and Unleash Your Wild Side.
  • Literacy Courses
    Students will participate in small groups specifically designed to develop literacy skills and engage students in their learning. Students should have fun as they design and author their own creative works. Sample programs included: Cooking-Up-Even-More Stories, Enchanted STEAM Fairy Tales, Book Creator, Mock Trial, Observing Ozobots, Ornithology, Survivor and Viva Italiano.
  • English Language Arts
    Students will explore a wide variety of texts by participating in whole and small group reading groups at their instructional levels and will become involved in activities related to their reading. They students will read fiction and non-fiction to engage them as they learn how reading can expand their world.
  • Field Trips
    In-person field trips that are anticipated to occur: Bowling (Week 3), Splish Splash (Week 5) and TopGolf (Week 7). A parent/guardian may opt their child out of any scheduled field trip offered this year.
  • Swimming
    Students (with parent/guardian permission) will be bused one day a week to the Town of Brookhaven Centereach pool. Students not going will join the regular afternoon schedule.
  • Other Special Events
    Students registered for the last session are invited to join the end-of-summer carnival picnic/barbeque.
