Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment
The Comsewogue School District curriculum is aligned to the New York State Next Generation Learning Standards, guiding principles of our district and our community. Differentiation of instruction results in learning and assessment matched to the individualized needs of our students.
Through research-based resources and data-driven planning, instructional practices include using elements of Problem-Based Learning, technology integration, and differentiation to best meet students’ unique learning styles. We continually monitor and evaluate the success of our schools and students by utilizing formal and informal assessment data at both the district and state levels.
As a district, we continually are setting high expectations for our students and staff. We look forward to opportunities to work collaboratively with our community to inform decisions that shape our goals each year. Together we can empower our children to succeed at their potential!
